Morris Koo is the Founding Partner of OVI Ventures, a seed-stage investment firm focused on the drone industry: aircraft, autonomy and mission software, components, and the defense and public-safety missions they serve.

Before OVI, Morris joined Brinc Drones as one of its first three business leaders, alongside the CEO and the head of sales, in a company that was otherwise all engineers. As Vice President of Strategy & Design for more than four years (2021 to 2025), he worked directly with the CEO on company vision, strategy, and product as Brinc grew from the garage-built Lemur to Responder and Guardian and became the leading public-safety drone platform in the US. Shortly after he left, the company raised a $125M round led by Motorola Solutions and passed a $1 billion valuation. Trained as an industrial designer, he previously held product and strategy roles at HP and Comcast.

His work spans the full stack of modern unmanned systems, from flight autonomy, fleet orchestration, and AI-driven mission software to airframes and supply chains, and the US defense market, from autonomous mission drones to FPV-class expendables. He writes the column The Drone Hegemony War for The Miilk, contributes commentary to KOTRA, and mentors founders on both sides of the Pacific.

He works at the intersection of US drone founders and Korean industry, advising Korean component and manufacturing companies on US market entry, and helping US drone startups reach suppliers, manufacturing partners, and certification pathways in Korea.
